Google recently announced that it will enable the businesses to display services menu in Google My Business Page. Google My Business listing owners have had the ability to add and edit their own menu links in the info tab of their dashboard. Now, in addition to using the GMB API or 3P menu service, listing owners will be able to showcase their menu directly on their Google listing for consumers on mobile by adding their own structured menu using the GMB Info tab.
According to Search Engine Journal, this extension to the feature that was introduced earlier this year. The feature gives the liberty to the restaurants to add their food menu on the Google My Business Page. And now with the updated version, almost all the business including health, beauty sector etc can add services menu to their Google My Business Page.
The business owners will be able to add a name, description, and price of the product that they are offering. With this feature, it is possible to group individual items into different sections. Businesses can add menus under the “Info” tab in the Google My Business dashboard.
Here’s how it will look
When you will click “add or edit items”, a screen will appear in front of you given in the below screenshot.
As you can see in the above screenshot what options are there. So fill in the section name, item name along with its price and description. Once you add the details click the “Add” button to make it appear in the list.
This feature will only be available if the listing is not currently connected to a third party provider. It is only for listings in English speaking locals.
GMB’s unique initiatives
In order to mark the International Women’s Day on March 8, Google My Business Page did something unique. Started in the first week of March, businesses can now be identified as owned, led, or founded by women, by enabling the women-led attribute from their Google My Business dashboard. Attributes appear on a business’s Google listing on Maps and Search and give customers more details like “Has Wi-Fi” and “Outdoor seating” to help them decide where to go.
According to Techcrunch, last year Google added LGBTQ attribute to Google My Business Page. So, as you can see that how Google is making everything so effective that the user should feel connected to it.
As you see that Google My Business Page has many many attributions to keep the users at ease. It not only provides information but enables the owner to add all the services to it.
