STAENZ Premier League (SPL 2025) had officially exploded onto the scene! Forget algorithms and analytics for just one day, because at STAENZ Digital Marketing Academy, we believe in channeling the same passion and drive we bring to digital strategies onto the vibrant cricket pitch! It was the 4’th season of SPL as last year we had a great SPL 2024.
Every year, STAENZ Digital Marketing Academy, the launchpad for future digital marketing superstars across India, proudly presents the STAENZ Premier League (SPL) – a full-throttle, all-day cricket tournament. It’s our annual celebration of the shared love of cricket that binds our incredible student and alumni community together. SPL is more than just a game; it’s a chance to step away from the screens, connect face-to-face, unleash some healthy competition, and maybe, just maybe, smash a few unforgettable sixes!
This year, SPL 2025 ignited Inside Edge Turf in Nashik on February 9th, 2025. And let me tell you, saying it was “energy-filled” is a massive understatement!
From the moment the first teams stepped onto the emerald green turf, the atmosphere was pure electricity. It wasn’t just about cricket; hilarious Three-Legged Races, chaotic Lemon Races, bouncy Sack Races, and a surprise Push-Up Contest kept the energy levels sky-high throughout the day. Imagine this: students and alumni tumbling good-naturedly in sack races, peals of laughter ringing out across the field, and the constant, thunderous roar of encouragement as teams battled for every run and every wicket. SPL 2025 wasn’t just a cricket tournament; it was a full-blown festival of fun, friendship, and unforgettable camaraderie!
Nashik has been our amazing SPL home, thanks to our thriving offline Digital Marketing Course presence here. But… get ready for some thrilling news: Staenz is buzzing with plans to spread the SPL fever to even more locations in the coming years! So, Staenz communities in Ghaziabad and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad) – listen up! Sharpen your batting skills, warm up those cheering voices, because #SPL2026 could be heading your way!
Spectacle on the Pitch: Key Cricket Action and Performances
The cricket on display was simply phenomenal. Ten incredibly talented teams, each packed with digital marketing brains and sporting brawn (yes, our students are multi-talented!), went head-to-head in a total of 23 heart-stopping matches: 20 fiercely contested league games, 2 nail-biting semi-finals, and one truly epic final showdown.
Let’s talk about some standout performances:
- Animesh Changle Nashik of SEO Strikers ignited the tournament right from the opening match, unleashing a breathtaking 53 runs not out in a mere 14 balls! His innings was a clinic in power hitting, featuring a mind-blowing 7 sixes and 2 fours. The crowd erupted with every soaring shot, chanting “Changle! Changle!”
- Shubham Tejale from Notion Ninjas took the energy to an even higher dimension! He delivered an absolute masterclass, obliterating the ball for 95 runs in just 26 deliveries! Hold on to your hats for this: THIRTEEN SIXES and 4 fours! It was a boundary-smashing blitzkrieg that had everyone on their feet in disbelief. His partnership with Akash Gaikwad, also of Notion Ninjas, reached a tournament-best of 136 runs!
- And speaking of speed and power, Meta Strikers achieved the fastest chase of the tournament, demolishing a target of 46 runs in a mind-boggling 1.3 overs (just 9 balls)! Talk about aggressive marketing tactics translating to the cricket pitch!
- While batsmen dominated with their big hits, bowlers had their say too. Adesh Bodhankar of Meta Titans emerged as the tournament’s top wicket-taker, skillfully snagging an impressive 12 wickets throughout SPL 2025!
- Pratik Gadiya, also from Meta Titans, was an absolute force to be reckoned with throughout SPL 2025! This all-rounder topped the charts with a stunning 10 fours, showcased his lightning-fast fielding with 7 dismissals, and was also a prolific run-scorer, racking up a total of 172 runs to become one of the tournament’s leading scorers!
- But when it came to hitting the ball into orbit, Harsh Chittoria 45 from Meta Strikers reigned supreme! He launched a monstrous 23 sixes, earning him the undisputed title of “Six King” of SPL 2025!
Drone Dance & Lunchtime Fun: Beyond the Boundary
Between the electrifying cricket matches, the energy never waned for a single second. As the DJ dropped a high-octane beat, the cricket turf instantly transformed into a vibrant, pulsating dance floor! Students, alumni, faculty – everyone, from every team, joined in, moving to the rhythm and letting loose in a joyous celebration. A drone buzzed and whirred overhead, capturing the sheer, unadulterated joy and vibrant energy of the entire Staenz tribe as we danced together under the Nashik sun. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the true spirit of SPL – pure fun, unbreakable community, and unforgettable memories being forged in real-time.
Lunch breaks at SPL aren’t just for refueling; they’re for unleashing our inner child and embracing some playful chaos! The sidelines became a hilarious stage for races and games that had everyone in stitches. In the Lemon Spoon Race, Neha Madhe displayed incredible dexterity and focus to sprint to first place, with Vaishnavi Gadage hot on her heels, securing a well-deserved second position. The Girls’ Sack Race saw Vaishnavi Gadake (a champion racer!) hopping her way to a dominant victory, followed closely by a determined Palak Sadhwani. The Boys’ Sack Race was a truly chaotic and hilarious spectacle, resulting in a three-way battle for the top spots, with Yash ultimately claiming first place and a joint second place awarded to both Tanmay and Yasir! The tricky One-Legged Race tested balance and agility, with Mansi showcasing impressive skills to win for the girls, and Nikita taking a strong second place. In the boys’ race, Tanmay proved his athletic prowess once again, winning first place ahead of Uday in second. Finally, the Three-Legged Race demanded perfect teamwork and coordination, and Vaishnavi and Mansi (a winning pair!) took first place with impressive synchronization, followed by Palak and Nikita in second, and Devyani and Yashashree rounding out the top three! Adding to the fun and friendly competition, the “Fly the plane” game saw Saqlain soar to victory in first place, with Harshal skillfully gliding into second, and Anurag landing in a respectable third. It was fantastic to see everyone, players and spectators alike, jumping in, laughing along, and having an absolute blast beyond the cricket pitch.
