In this super fast digital era, whenever we need an answer to a question, we search it on Google. But now that the times are changing, people are moving towards the platform like Quora or Reddit or Yahoo where they get public opinions. Nor only opinions, if you have any question, you can simply ask a question on Quora and those who know the answer can just give their opinion over there.
Let’s just break this down in a bit funny manner. Consider the Online platform as a classroom. Then Quora would be that nerd kid who knows the detailed answer of each and every question and makes sure that it answers the question in a proper flow because it spends time researching and gaining knowledge. Reddit is that popular kid of the class who gives funny and witty answers to every question asked but they do have a dark side. In the case of Yahoo, it is that kid who has been held back three times and is in all reform classes. Yahoo spends more time in what is going on and eating popcorn. Also, Yahoo messes around a lot. Talking about Facebook, it is the star of the class and everyone wants to be with it.

So let us just quickly see how the four of them are different from each other when it comes to Q & A and online promotion.
Quality of the content
When it comes to content, I feel that Quora is the best platform. And the questions asked are understood by a layman as well. Also, Yahoo is somehow rich when it comes to content. It also covers all the aspect like sports, education, health, politics to name a few topics like Quora. Reddit, who calls itself as the front page of the internet is more of an informal platform where you will find sarcastic answers. The pictorial content is also really intriguing as you will find really funny pictures all over. Facebook is purely a promotional platform where you will find everyone. Be it an individual or a company. You will find people sharing pictures, blog links, promoting products and a lot more.
Quality users
Quora, as we all know, is only dedicated to answering the questions that people have generally. Yahoo already has many verticals like email, news, and now the answers. So it does not go behind acquiring quality people. Quora is like the constitution, for the people, to the people, by the people. Therefore when it comes to the quality of the users, you will find the finest on Quora and Facebook as these are the premium platforms to promote the product and get the authentic answers to a certain question. Reddit and Yahoo are also a good platform but there will not be everyone over there. You will see people participating from Silicon Valley on Quora and Facebook. So you know the level of these platforms as compared to Reddit and Yahoo.
Which platform is best for you?
Depending upon the type of product and objective you have, you will decide the platform. For example, if you are an educational institute, then you, of course, have quora where you can answer the various questions about your domain that people are asking and link your website in the content so that people can read it and come to your website. Also, you can promote your institute on Facebook by creating a Facebook page. You also make use of Reddit and Yahoo to promote your content which is nothing but a form of inbound marketing.
Before writing this article, I spoke to many people and read a lot about all the platforms. Also, I do not want to be biased here but everyone says that Yahoo has not performed up to the mark and also the language used is not that appealing. In the case of Reddit, you will at times find a piece of really great advice that will change your life but at the next time, you will find the stupidest of the answers over there. So basically, you cannot blind-folded count on Reddit and Yahoo as you will not everytime find what you are looking for.
Whereas, Quora will act like your best buddy in the class and give you everything that you can ask for. It is the perfect place for Q&A. Facebook is the best platform for online promotion and we all know that. So it is up to you now which platform you would like to use and in which situation!
