The fee for eLearning that is online program is comparatively lower than the classroom program.
To talk roughly about India, there is a huge difference in the course fee. If you will Google for the course fee in your city, you will find many numbers. As per my research, the average fee for complete Digital Marketing course is around Rs. 45000/-, There are some institutes offering Digital Marketing course at only. Rs. 8000/- in India. The highest Fee I found is 75000/-. There are some very popular institutes which are offering the course at around 30-35 k.
Why such difference in the fees.
Now the question arises, why some institutes are offering an almost same course at such a low Fee. There are many factors which affect the Fee structure. Below are some factors discussed.
Factors affecting Digital Marketing course Fees
#1. City, Place
The Digital Marketing course fees in Metro cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi is higher than other cities. Basically, for well-known institutes, you will find the fees bit higher around 50 – 70K in tier 1 cities. In tier 2 cities like Pune, Kanpur, Vadodara, Indore, Vishakhapattanam you can get the course at around 40-50K approx if you are going to the good institute. It will cost you around 30-35K in tier 3 cities like Nashik, Kochi, Ludhiana. But, you will find the same thing common in all types of cities that you will find many institutes which are offering the course at a very cheap price like 10-12K.
#2. Quality:
This is the main factor which affects the Digital Marketing course fee or I guess every kind of product and service. Quality of a course means the quality of its content. The technology is changing very rapidly. Every day, we come across new technology or new feature of the same technology. In the field of Digital Marketing also various changes are made by the search engines and social media. The content of a course should contain those new updated techniques. Digital Marketing is a completely practical thing. You need to learn things by doing. It is also about the resources and material they are providing.
#3. The depth of the knowledge:
The syllabus should cover all the necessary practices and techniques which is currently used by the industry experts. Introduction to the topic is not sufficient to become an expert. Its all about the practice. You will learn this by performing more and more practicals. A good Digital Marketing course covers following important modules with full of practical on each of the module.
Site setup for business/marketing, SEO (Search Engine Marketing), Web Analytics, Inbound Marketing, Social Media Mastermind, Facebook Ad Mastermind, Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, Search Engine Marketing (Google Adwords, Adsense, etc.)
For example, if the AdWords module is there, they should show you how they are running a real ad on Google Adwords. Then and then you can learn the module. So the depth of the knowledge also plays role in the fees.
#4. Mentor:
Having the guidance, encouragement, and support of a trusted and experienced mentor leads to engrave broad range of personal and professional skills into the student. To learn the right skills, you need a mentor rather than a teacher. He can teach you the right and updated skills. The profile of the mentor plays an important role in the course fees. Many of the well-known institutes have industry experts as a mentor for Digital Marketing course. The experts are already well settled in their Digital Marketing career. If such expert is coming to teach, definitely the fees will be more as institutes also have to pay them more. There are such platforms available where you can learn Digital Marketing right from the industry experts.
#5- Job/Business Assistance:
You will have to check the previous record of the company and institute. Everyone says 100% job assistance or even they provide the guarantee. But the position and salary package is also a thing to be considered. Good Digital Marketing institutes have very good connections, so if you are planning for a job, this might be your plus point than other candidates if you have completed it from a well-known institute. Many good institutes are providing assistance if you have any idea to start online business or eCommerce.
So in my opinion, it is completely about the value and content they are providing. At last, you should get benefit out of it. Fees are like an investment. An investment in gaining knowledge and developing skill is the best investment. So if you are in tier 1 city, I think average Rs 45000/- will be sufficient. If any Digital Marketing Institute is charging more than this, you can talk and discuss with them in detail. If the ROI is better, you can invest. Same is true for tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
There are many universities and colleges, but only some of them have good campus placements. You get a degree or certification everywhere, but the most important thing is the value of that certification in the market. According to my personal opinion, you should not go with cheap course provider and learn outdated techniques. Rather if you are short of money, wait for a couple of days, try to manage the finances and join a good Digital Marketing Course.
I think the appropriate fees should be around 10k to 20k so that everyone can afford it.
Hey Akshay, if you are learning from a good and experienced mentor and a promising institute, a number more than 20K should not be a problem. It will always depend on where and with whom you are learning! This is a field where many people claim they are gurus, but the thing that differentiates a good mentor from an average or at worst the bad one is their knowledge, how they connect with their students and how well the students actually perform!
I totally agree with Tejaswini. If you want good training one needs to pay a premium to afford a good trainer which in turn benefits the course taker. Normally institutes that quote lesser fees for Digital Marketing are constantly under pressure to get good profits ( Duh that’s the primary reason to form a training institute followed by imparting good training ) and because of low fees they cannot really afford a good enough trainer and hence settle for cheap entry-level trainers who impart less or no knowledge to the course takers. I agree with Tejaswini that a good digital marketing course should be in the range of 20-30k for an experienced trainer
