The Google Ads certification is a professional accreditation that Google offers to individuals who demonstrate proficiency in basic and advanced aspects of Google Ads. A Google Ads certification allows individuals to demonstrate that Google recognizes them as an expert in online advertising. And at Staenz Academy every student is assisted and motivated for taking up these certifications as it is also a part of the syllabus. Swapnil narrates his journey of how he completed all the certification of Google Ads through this interview.

- Before starting off with the certification, did you get an idea about the basics of Google ads from the class?
- What can you say about the difficulty level of the certifications since you have completed all of it?

Before starting off with the certification, did you get an idea about the basics of Google ads from the class?
Ans – Of course, the mentor Sanjeev Mishra, taught us everything about Google Ads in the class for two weeks. At that time I didn’t know that we had to do the certification. After we were all clear about the intricacies and basics of Google Ads, sir told us to take up the certifications. There are total 6 certifications in Google ads and one cannot proceed to any of the certifications until you complete the “Google Fundamentals” certification. I think I got the perfect knowledge that was needed to do these certifications in the class.
What can you say about the difficulty level of the certifications since you have completed all of it?
Ans – I will not say that it is really difficult. But if go individual certificate wise then, Google Fundamentals is easy, Google Ads Display is easy, Google Ads Mobile is also easy. I felt that Google Ads Shopping and Google Ads Video are slightly complicated. The whole structure of the certification is a bit confusing as you will not be able to do it if the basics are not clear.
How much time did you take to do the certification and in how many attempts?
Ans – I took around 12 days to complete the certifications. I completed all the certifications in single attempt except Google Ads Video. So when you are not able to clear the exam in one attempt, you have to wait for 24 hours as it is the lock period. After 24 hours, the link will get active and you can retake the exam.
Why do you think it is important to do all these certifications?
Ans – According to me, it is really vital to do all of these certifications. Because first thing first, they come for free. All you need to do is apply what you have learned. Secondly, it is the proof that you are qualified. Third, when you know something, there should be someone to validate it and Google here is playing that role. Fourth thing, it not only adds value to your knowledge but helps tremendously if you are looking for a job. And that is why I think that those who are learning digital marketing must do these certifications for value addition.
What tip would you like to give to those who will be taking up the Google Ads certification?
Ans – All I want to say is that be clear with your concepts, first apply those concepts practically and then give the exam. I tried this certification a few months back but couldn’t clear because I was lacking in the basics. But the moment I learned basics, I cleared it it the first go. So get to know the basics first.
